Last week we had the Great Book Swap to raise money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. We raised over $200 to help the foundation buy new books to send to Indigenous children in remote communities. We brought in some books to swap, as well as a gold coin. We then got to help ourselves to a new book. After the swap we had some silent reading time to enjoy our new books!
What a busy time we are having in Term 3! Last Friday we had a BBQ for our Dad's to celebrate Father's Day. Mr Pye organised some great activities for Dad's to do with prizes being won for the furthest throw and the most amount of push ups. There were also soccer goals set up for kicking and there was an egg and spoon race. Finally Dad's versed the kids in a tug of war! It was a fantastic afternoon.
