Apologies for the miscommunication but the whole school will be attending BROOKVALE OVAL for the Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 24 June. Students who are 8 or turning 8 this year will be taken across to St Augustines' school oval for certain events. Volunteers are of course more than welcome to go across with their children to watch these events.

Our school Athletics Carnival is next Tuesday 24 June at St Augustine's school oval. K-2 will be conducting their own carnival and need volunteers to help run the events. These events will be simple, fun relays and competitions and students will rotate in groups every 15 minutes or so. If you are free next Tuesday and would like to help we would appreciate it very much. Many thanks in advance! Wow what an incredible show! Tjupurru is a very engaging and fun performer. Not only is he amazingly talented with the Didjeribone (a cross between a didgeridoo and a trombone), but he is able to record, mix and loop his own songs, live on stage, with a tap of his toe! Brookvale students had a great time contributing their voices to his music. I think the other teachers will agree with me when I say I have never seen a whole school engaged for 1 hour and 40 minutes the way Brookvale students were today. What a treat!
Spiny Leaf Insects named Storm and AutumnWe love Minibeasts! This term we are looking closely at insects, spiders and other small creatures. We love researching and studying Minibeasts and now we have our own Minibeasts to look after! Meet Storm and Autumn the Spiny Leaf Insects….
Today, in Assembly, Zahia presented her Multicultural Speaking Competition entry. I think she did a fantastic job! Well done Zahia! On Saturday 21 June Brookvale PS is holding an Art Exhibition and Auction at the 'If U Like Art' studio in Brookvale. The exhibition is from 5:30pm-7:30pm and drinks and nibbles will be supplied. The event is free, however, a donation to Brookvale PS at the door will be appreciated. Don't forget to RSVP so we can make enough food! This will be a fantastic opportunity to see your child's work displayed and you will have the chance to purchase their Artwork for your home. Additionally, you may bid for a piece of artwork completed by your child's class. Please see below for the invitation and 1/2J's class artwork…. We are part of the Brookvale Public School community. We love our school. We are respectful, responsible learners who always try our personal best. Mrs McArthur is our teacher and we are a lovely class who are like family to each other. We work together and communicate to solve problems and complete tasks. We look out for each other on the playground and always help one another when needed. 1/2J keep trying and never give up! |
