The last week of the holidays was NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) week. The theme this year was 'We All Stand on Sacred Ground.' To celebrate we gathered in the library yesterday and heard a story from Cohen about his Grandfather who was part of the Stolen Generation. Ms Thompson then read us the book Nyuntu Ninti by Bob Randal. Finally we went out to the Vegie patch and we placed two footprints into our 'school's ground.'

Tuesday 14th of July was the first day back at school for students AND the Athletics Carnival. We were so lucky to have a beautiful sunny day, after having to postpone the carnival from last term. We had a great time with students participating in running and gross motor activities such as the parachute, obstacle course, egg and spoon race, Rob the Nest game, over/under ball, duck, duck goose and more! |
